Meet Global Ambassador Regan Hill studying in South Korea at Yonsei University Global!
"I go to Yonsei University (one of the top three Ivy schools in Korea) and I'm taking Korean and social psychology for my two minors. The first day of orientation, I met so many people and I immediately made a long lasting friend group. Since then, our group has grown from four to 10 people! Yonsei's campus is one of the most gorgeous campuses I've ever seen, its just SO hilly and humid here.
In my Korean class, we only speak Korean and we're not allowed to speak any English. It's helped me a lot with my speaking skills because in the U.S. there aren't many chances to practice my Korean. I've made friend groups in each class and every Thursday we all go out together (three-day weekend!). I also got to celebrate my 21st birthday here!
I've done a lot of shopping as well as exploring in Seoul. The skincare here is insane and super cheap. I can get a meal here for two dollars. This weekend, I plan on flying to Jeju Island with some friends and we are going to go to the beach and see waterfalls. I hope the rest of my time here goes by slowly, because studying abroad here is the dream."

"I came here thinking I would be studying the British education system, but the infectious academic fervor of this city has driven me to learn so much more... This study abroad has not only fulfilled the dream of my 18-year-old self but also inspired me to set more ambitious goals for myself, to seek out more experiences, and to grow."

Meet Global Ambassador Addison E. Williams participating in the faculty-led program "London Criminals and Correspondents: True Crime Podcasts: How Reporters Protect Their Mental Health" in London, England!
"This summer, I have had the incredible opportunity to study abroad in London, England! One of my favorite parts of this experience has been meeting people from all over the world in the city and hearing their stories. I’ve had the pleasure of speaking with locals and professionals who shared their experiences, perspectives, and advice that went far beyond what I expected to learn in a classroom. While adjusting to the fast-paced lifestyle took time, it quickly began to feel like a second home.
As part of our first class, we visited many of the locations connected to the criminal cases we studied, which gave us such a unique introduction to the city. From taking a Jack the Ripper walking tour and visiting the Old Bailey criminal court to exploring the Cotswolds and mudlarking along the River Thames, every experience has taught me more about this beautiful city and its rich history.
After about two weeks, our program shifted to focus on the mental health side of journalism. I had the privilege of interviewing Tim Wood, a retired journalist who reported from the Old Bailey criminal court. I was able to ask him about the ways he navigated stress, processed traumatic experiences, and maintained his well-being while working in such an emotionally demanding profession. During classes, our professor also shared strategies for protecting our mental health, including setting boundaries, learning when to say no, making thoughtful decisions for ourselves, and remembering that our careers are not worth sacrificing our well-being.
Choosing to study abroad has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made during my college career. Every day here has reminded me of how much there is to discover beyond my comfort zone. Living in a new city, learning in a completely different environment, and experiencing another culture firsthand has challenged me in the best ways possible. It has pushed me to grow both socially and academically, and I’ve loved every minute of it. London has become a place I will always hold close to me, and I’m so excited to spend my final week here continuing to explore, learn, and make even more lasting memories!"
