Trinity Episcopal School

Trinity Episcopal School Trinity Episcopal School is an inclusive, forward-thinking, faith-based PK-8 school that meets each s It began with a dream. A big dream.

A school that would nurture the mind, body, heart, and spirit of each child. Trinity Episcopal School began with longtime Austin educator Jane Hill and a small group of parents. They were looking for a rigorous and innovative Episcopal academic program offered in a diverse and highly nurturing environment. This small group of parents became the Founding Board, whose first order of business was the

formation of a mission statement and a set of core valuesβ€”philosophies that would guide the board and staff's decisions from the blueprint stage to reality and beyond on a daily basis. In August 1999, Trinity Episcopal School opened with 13 pioneer first graders in a converted house near the University of Texas, dubbed "The Blue House." Our second year opened with 103 students, kindergarten through 3rd grade, in a borrowed space at Riverbend Church. In November 2000, we moved into our first academic building on our West Lake Hills campus. From 2000 to 2012 we continued to add more grade levels and buildings, including our chapel and performing arts center and the jewel of our campus, Jane Hill Hall. In 2021, we added Blue House Preschool serving students 2-4 years old. Today, Trinity is a PK-8 school with more than 620 students. While the numbers and setting have changed dramatically, we remain true to the four core values that guided founder Jane Hill: a strong Christian foundation, enriched academic excellence, a diverse community, and a commitment to family. Trinity is a place where education, innovation, and community intersect.

We love teaching, and we love being students, too!

This summer, Trinity faculty and staff continued to grow, learn, and bring new ideas back to our classrooms and community.

Our Lower School teachers headed to Charlotte, NC, for a UFLI Literacy and Phonics Conference, while our Marketing & Communications team traveled to Denver, CO, for a Brand and Social Media conference. Teachers also gathered in Seattle, WA, for a Cultural Competency Lab, and Leadership Team members traveled to Atlanta, GA, for the Diversity Leadership Institute.

We’re proud to be a community of lifelong learners, always curious, always growing, and always looking for ways to better serve our students and families. Because when we keep learning, our students benefit, too. πŸ’™

Our new faculty and staff got the 411 on all things Trinity at orientation. They took a tour to where Trinity first started, learned the history of our school, and bonded over lunch with our leadership team. We are so excited to welcome such an amazing group of people to our Trinity and Blue House Preschool Community! πŸ’™

We're filled with gratitude for Turk and Christy Pipkin and their extraordinary 25 years of work through The Nobelity Project, bringing educational opportunities to children in rural Kenya through schools, libraries, and books.

It was an honor for the Trinity Episcopal School community to be part of this mission. Together, our students collected more than 1,500 books for Kenyan school children, a powerful reminder that generosity and a love of learning can make a difference around the world.

As the Pipkins celebrate this incredible legacy tonight with their 20th-anniversary screening of Nobelity and One Peace at a Time (more info at nobelity.org), we thank them for inspiring our community to lead with curiosity, service, and hope. We are honored to have been a small part of their remarkable journey.
