The Stephen J. Brady Stop Hunger Scholarship recognizes students, ages 5 to 25, who are tackling hunger in their communities. Applicants should demonstrate creativity, leadership and impact in fighting food insecurity. National scholars receive a $10,000 academic scholarship and a $5,000 grant for their hunger-relief charity. They also attend the Sodexo Charity Classic, which will be held June 3 -5, 2026 in Colorado Springs, CO, where they have the opportunity to connect with industry leaders who support the Stop Hunger mission. The annual application period runs from September 5 to November 5.

The JWU FIRST Scholarship is available to students who are seniors in high school and have participated on a FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) team or FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) team. Students must apply for admission and indicate membership to be considered for this award.

University of Maryland Global Campus offers multiple scholarships—which include full tuition, fees, and course-required resources for each term during the academic year—for caregivers of recovering servicemembers and veterans through the Pillars of Strength Scholarship Program. This scholarship aims to honor the unparalleled selflessness and extraordinary commitment of these caregivers.
Each year, the scholarship application opens November 11 and closes April 30.
The Pillars of Strength Scholarship program is made possible by the Blewitt Endowment Fund, National Military Family Association, and the Kahlert Foundation.

The application for the 2024 CGCS-Bernard Harris Math and Science Scholarship Program has been extended to April 19, 2024!
The Council of the Great City Schools has partnered with Dr. Bernard Harris to offer the CGCS-Bernard Harris Math and Science Scholarship Program for high school seniors who are majoring in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math)
Named after former astronaut, physician and businessman Bernard Harris, who was the first African American to walk in space, the scholarships are available to 2023 graduating seniors in urban school districts represented by the Council.
Four $5,000 scholarships for two males and two females each will be awarded to two African American and two Hispanic seniors pursuing studies in STEM-related fields in college next fall.
