Can you believe summer break has already come to an end? A lot of learning loss occurs over the summer break from school, especially in math. I am here to help your child start the school year academically strong and build their confidence in math. As we enter the 2023/2024 academic year, this is the BEST time to reserve a math tutoring schedule before my scheduling calendar fills up. Math is a complex and foundational subject. Many students struggle to learn math on their academic journey, starting as early as elementary school! This is where I come in. My name is Stephanie Specht, and I am an online math tutor. My primary focus is helping your student build mastery of the foundational math concepts they are struggling in. How do I do that? I firmly believe that ALL students can learn math to the highest levels with the right attitude and instruction. I meet the student where they are at in their learning, set learning goals for them, and create a roadmap to help them reach that learning outcome so that it is tailored to their learning needs. Throughout that process, I cheer on my students as they persevere in problem-solving to help them develop more confidence and a positive attitude toward learning math. I praise reasonable effort and learning from mistakes to foster a growth mindset and cultivate constructive learning habits.

I have developed many teaching skills from being a credentialed math teacher. I have taught elementary, middle, and high school math in public schools and homeschools. I have seen firsthand the various factors that make learning math challenging for students. I am committed to addressing the unique learning needs of the individual student AND making math concepts accessible for them.
