This is what happens when women come together with purpose.
Not on Our Watch TX, an initiative of Texas Women in Business, in partnership with Girl Scouts of Central Texas and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, is launching a powerful new online safety curriculum and Girl Scout patch.

This program is designed to help girls:
• Recognize online grooming and manipulation
• Understand safe vs. unsafe digital behavior
• Set boundaries and trust their instincts
• Know when and how to ask for help

Because the truth is—our girls are navigating online spaces earlier than ever. They deserve the tools, awareness, and confidence to stay safe.

This isn’t about fear.
It’s about empowerment.

Creating space for opportunity starts with strong partnerships.

We recently met with the leadership team at Northeast Early College High School, alongside our long-time community partner Maria Hernandez, to begin planning the first-ever Young Enterprising Women Mentoring Forum in Austin this October.

This initiative is focused on expanding access for young women — especially in STEM — by connecting them with mentors, leaders, and real pathways forward. Through panels, workshops, and meaningful conversations, we’re working to help students build confidence and see what’s possible for their future.

At our Girls of Legacy Spring Luncheon & Workshop, students engaged in a powerful, hands-on session led by Cherie B. Mathews, focused on strengthening communication—both verbal and non-verbal.

Through interactive exercises, our students practiced building confidence, active listening, and learning how to communicate with clarity and purpose. The message was simple but impactful: communication is a skill that can be learned and mastered.

As many of our students prepare to graduate and step into their next chapter, moments like these ensure they are ready to lead, connect, and thrive.

Amplify Austin Day 2026 kicks off at 6 PM CT today and continues through 6 PM CT tomorrow, bringing our community together for 24 hours of generosity and impact.

At LaunchPad, our heart has always been to serve. Through our Girls of Legacy initiative, we provide scholarships and mentorship to young women from Austin’s Title I high schools who are determined to pursue higher education and build a strong future for themselves and their families.

Grateful for a beautiful holiday and end of year lunch with our Girls of Legacy students and mentor team in Austin. As we reflected on the wins of 2025, we celebrated the power of mentorship, leadership, and the relationships that continue to shape lives and communities. We were also excited to welcome two new mentors to the program and look ahead to 2026 with fresh vision and purpose. So thankful to end the year together and celebrate all that was accomplished.
