Have you ever made promises to yourself about showing up in a different, better way?

It helped, but only to an extent.

The truth is, mindset adjustment hits a wall if you don't address your emotional body.

Your body is a living archive, storing every suppressed and repressed emotional wound.

These emotions, associated with overwhelming experiences, bring with them a cluster of thoughts and beliefs, many of which lurk in your unconscious.

Beliefs that whisper you're not enough, not worthy, undeserving, and ultimately, that you're unsafe.

Until you confront and release these stuck emotions from your body, there will be little room for new, empowering thoughts and beliefs that align with the reality you aspire to create.

For the first time in my life...⁣
⁣.. I caught it⁣
⁣
I became aware of the inner turbulence sitting in my chest⁣
⁣
Before this moment I wasn't consciously aware of my emotional wounds when triggered⁣
⁣
The uncomfortable emotions that I'd been pushing down for years would surface and take over me⁣
⁣
I had become the wound... my wounded inner child was running the show⁣
⁣
He'd scream and shout, he'd fight and blame... whatever he needed to do to protect himself in that moment⁣
⁣
Only in reflection could I see that I'd lost control, in the moment I wasn't consciously there, and this moment was a turning point in my life and healing⁣
⁣
Once I had created the space to observe the emotion in my body, and witness it fully... no judgement, no shame... just be with it, be curious about it… even grateful for it, I gained power over my wounds rather than them having power over me⁣
⁣
To fully face, feel, accept, express, and release these emotions... this is the healing journey⁣
⁣
and when you have the awareness and space to observe the emotion objectively, and realize you are not the emotion, you've reached a major milestone on your healing journey⁣
