JAMen, Shalom Austin's Jewish men's affinity group, now celebrating its fifth season, featured its first female speaker on November 13. Joanne Lipman, former Deputy Managing Editor of the Wall Street Journal, former Editor-in-Chief of USA Today and author of the best-selling book That's What She Said: What Men and Women Need to Know About Working Together, engaged more than 120 men in her outstanding presentation and Q&A on the challenges women face in the workplace and how men can promote greater gender equity. Pictured with Lipman are Rabbi Daniel Septimus, Shalom Austin CEO, and JAMen Co-Chairs Burt Kunik and Jay Rubin.

We are excited for our guest of honor, Joanne Lipman, to join us next week, November 13, for our next speaker event.

Lipman, JAMen’s first female speaker, is one of the nation's most prominent journalists. A bestselling author and CNBC contributor, her work has appeared in publications including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, TimeMagazine, Fortune, Newsweek and Harvard Business Review. Lipman’s No. 1 bestselling "That’s What She Said " offers real-world solutions and a path forward in the wake of the movement. There's no man-bashing here; Lipman explores how men, as well as women, can join together to close the gender gap. Go to shalomaustin.org/jamen to reserve your seat!
