Lateral face restoration is one of the most powerful ways to rejuvenate the face while maintaining natural structure and balance.

By strategically treating the cheeks and marionette lines, we can restore volume loss, improve facial contours, and soften downward pull that contributes to an aged appearance.

Using Juvederm Voluma in the cheeks allows for deep structural support—lifting the midface, enhancing projection, and indirectly improving the lower face. This lift reduces heaviness around the mouth and jawline.

Juvederm Volure is then placed more superficially to refine marionette lines, softening shadows and folds without overfilling or compromising natural movement.

The result is not just “filling lines,” but restoring facial harmony:
• Lifted, contoured cheeks
• Softened marionette lines
• Improved facial balance
• A refreshed, natural appearance

True artistry in injectables is understanding anatomy, product selection, and placement depth—not just adding volume, but restoring structure.

Subtle. Balanced. Undetectable.

Old pigment doesn’t have to hold you back from the brows you truly want.

A recent client came in with previously done, discolored pigment and a goal: soft, natural-looking hairstrokes. Instead of layering over compromised color, we took a corrective approach. With just one targeted session using the REMOVO laser, we were able to lift the unwanted pigment safely and effectively—creating a clean canvas. Immediately after, we designed and implanted fresh, refined hairstrokes that complemented her features beautifully.

This kind of transformation isn’t about luck—it’s about understanding laser-tissue interaction, pigment behavior, and having the technical precision to know when and how to act. Proper training in laser science makes all the difference between masking a problem and truly correcting it.

If you’re dealing with old, discolored brows, there are options—and they may be simpler than you think.

She came in wanting a simple touch-up… but her skin told a different story.

This wasn’t my original work, and over time the pigment had layered, shifted, and lost its clarity. Instead of adding more on top, we chose a more advanced and responsible approach — REMOVO laser removal to lift the old pigment first.

Why this matters:
When you continue to build over old work, especially unknown pigments, you risk muddiness, color distortion, and uneven healing. By using REMOVO, we were able to safely break down and lift the existing pigment, creating a clean canvas again.

The process is precise. The laser targets the unwanted pigment, fragmenting it so the body can gradually eliminate it. What I love about this approach is control — we’re not guessing, we’re correcting.

This is about respecting the skin and the art.

Sometimes the best touch-up… is removal first.

When Layers of Old Brows Meet Precision Removal

Six years ago these brows were first created. Over time they were refreshed again and again—four permanent makeup procedures in total. Each session added another layer of pigment into the skin. What many people don’t realize is that with every touch-up, pigment accumulates, colors shift, and the shape can become heavier or less defined.

This client came in ready for a fresh start.

Using the REMOVO laser, we were able to precisely target the old pigment that had been sitting in the skin for years. Because the pigment had multiple layers from four different procedures, removal requires a methodical approach. The REMOVO technology breaks down the pigment particles so the body can gradually clear them through its natural healing process.

What makes this process exciting is seeing how effectively the laser lifts years of accumulated pigment while protecting the surrounding skin. Even older permanent makeup can respond beautifully when the correct wavelength and technique are used.

Each session removes a little more of the story the skin has been holding for years. Step by step, layer by layer, we create space for healthy skin and the possibility of beautiful new work in the future.

Old pigment doesn’t have to be permanent. With the right technology and expertise, transformation is always possible.

When Layers of Permanent Makeup Build Up… Removal Becomes the Best Reset

Permanent makeup often begins beautifully—but over time, repeated touch-ups can create multiple layers of pigment in the skin.

This client came in with four layers of permanent makeup built up over several years:

• Initial microblading done 4 years ago
• A 6-week touch-up
• An annual color boost
• A color correction session about a year ago

Each session added more pigment into the same tissue. As the pigment ages, it can merge, shift tone, and lose the crispness of the original work. What once looked like fine hair strokes can gradually become a more saturated block of color.

Instead of continuing to layer more pigment on top, we chose a removal approach to reset the canvas.

Using the REMOVO laser, we performed targeted layered pigment lifting. This technology allows us to progressively break down and clear pigment from the skin rather than trying to remove everything in one aggressive treatment.

The results were impressive:
✨ Significant pigment lift in just two sessions
✨ Gradual clearing of old, compacted pigment
✨ Skin integrity preserved while reducing saturation

Layered permanent makeup requires a strategic removal plan, and laser allows us to work through those layers safely and effectively.

Sometimes the best way to create beautiful brows again is to remove the past before designing the future.

The Brow Journey — and Why Removal Becomes So Difficult

The first Microblading session usually looks beautiful. Crisp strokes, fresh color, and happy clients.

Six weeks later, a touch-up reinforces the shape and color. At this point, the skin already holds two layers of pigment.

Fast forward a year. As strokes soften and begin to merge, many artists perform another touch-up using one color across the entire brow. Now we have three layers of pigment sitting in the skin.

Over time, pigment chemistry shifts. Browns can fade, cool, or change tone. This is when many artists add orange or red correctors to “revive” the color.

But from a laser removal perspective, this very normal brow journey becomes extremely difficult to undo.

In this video you can see that even when the laser reaches the deepest layer — the original Microblading, removal is still challenging because multiple layers of pigment are stacked above it.

In tattoo removal the rule is simple:
More pigment in the skin = more laser sessions required.

For PMU artists doing annual touch-ups, always evaluate pigment density before adding another layer.

And remember: orange and red modifiers don’t truly correct pigment. They often mask the underlying color temporarily, creating the illusion of brown rather than actually fixing the shift.

Education matters. Skin remembers every layer.

Lower lid eyeliner is one of the most delicate procedures in permanent makeup. The skin in this area is incredibly thin, which means every movement must be intentional, controlled, and precise.

A steady hand, proper body positioning, and the correct stretch are essential. Pigment must be placed softly and strategically—never forced into the skin. Experienced artists understand how to balance needle depth, pressure, and skin tension to create a clean, refined line while protecting the integrity of the tissue.

This level of work comes with years of practice and understanding of anatomy. When done correctly, the result is a subtle enhancement that beautifully defines the eyes without trauma to the skin.

Laser tattoo removal with REMOVO

Black pigment can be one of the most deceptive to remove. What often looks like a single, solid tone is actually a layered formulation—black masking warmer undertones like yellow or orange. As laser sessions break apart the carbon-based black, those hidden hues can emerge, revealing the next layer that was always there beneath.

That’s exactly what you’re seeing here: black has lifted, and yellow remains.

This is where strategy matters. Laser energy selectively targets darker chromophores, but lighter pigments—especially yellow—don’t absorb that wavelength efficiently. So instead of over-treating with laser, we shift modality. The next session uses saline removal to gently lift the residual yellow from the skin.

Tattoo removal is rarely a single-method journey. Both laser and chemical (saline) techniques have their place. Each session removes a fraction, a layer, a component of the original pigment blend. By alternating methods based on what remains visible, we can progressively clear even complex, multi-tonal tattoos with less trauma to the tissue.

Layer by layer. Session by session. Chemistry and physics working together to restore clean skin.
