Let's shift our focus from the last man who defended himself successfully to the victim in the staircase who was brutally murdered. A very direct and sad question: why was the man not armed?

This just in: A previously convicted s*x offender was trying to r**e a 12-y/o girl at gunpoint when her mother walked into the hotel room just in time to save her daughter.

Within a few days since our last post, news of more animal attacks coming out of Austin and San Marcos this time.
The victim who was attacked by the rabid fox stated that she kicked the fox away and grabbed it and threw it multiple time but it just kept coming back. That did not seem to be sufficient or effective defense. How would you protect yourself against rabid animals on a hike?
