The first four weeks in the STEAM Lab was all about the three C’s! There’s always a method to my madness for STEAM and having fun while learning. CRITICAL THINKING! CONNECTION! COLLABORATION! The students started the year off participating in a school-wide challenge called “I REMEMBER!” This memory game was designed and created by Mr. Spann. Each class will have a team winner! Each grade level will have a team winner! And finally, we will have a Clarkdale “I REMEMBER” team winner. Stay tuned for the “why” and to see all the grade level winners this week! 🙌🏾🍎🙌🏾

A big thank you to our gifted teacher, Mr. Roper, for leading tonight’s Gifted Eligibility Parent Presentation! ❤️🤍

Families had the opportunity to learn more about the process students go through to qualify for the Gifted Program in Cobb County and ask questions about gifted services.

We appreciate our families for coming out, getting informed, and partnering with us to support our Cardinals!

Mrs. White’s 1st grade students were busy building their understanding of numbers through hands-on learning! Students used manipulatives to represent tens and ones, compare their thinking, and explain what they noticed. 🧮✨

Everyone keeps asking, “What were the Champion Dads dancing to?” 😂🕺🏾

IMPROMPTU request: Here’s the fun part…..at the kick off, the 5 dads who volunteered were challenged to listen to the lyrics and create their own movements to match the song! No choreography…just dads showing up, having fun, and making memories! ❤️

But the BEST part was watching their children’s faces. 🥹 Those smiles said it all! 😊😊😊The purpose of this activity was bigger than dancing, it was about being DAD, being present, and doing whatever it takes to SHOW UP for your children.

And our Champion Dads understood the assignment! 🏆💙
