Last Thursday ELA participated in their first fire drill of the year. Students were well prepared by teachers who explained the process and showed students visuals of what to expect. When the drill took place, students calmly walked with their teachers away from ELA and then safely returned to the building when the all clear was given. Way to go ELA students and staff!

Our Tiger class teacher is using picture visuals of what it looks like to stand in a line along with a taped line on the floor to help students understand what is expected of them as they walk safely together in the hallways. Way to go Tigers!

From sliding and climbing to touching leaves and watching mulch roll down the slide, our students are investigating cause and effect, using their senses, building coordination, and making observations. Play is powerful learning! ❤️

At our Frog class Pre-K playdough table, little hands were busy exploring shapes, tools, and creativity! 🟡✨
One student explored the idea of a sphere and experimented with rolling the playdough to create one. Another student investigated what different tools could do—using shape cutters, rolling pins, and pizza cutters to transform the playdough in different ways.

What may look like simple play is actually math, fine motor development, problem-solving, sharing, and scientific exploration all happening at once!

Our Turtle class is busy exploring, creating, and learning through play! From sorting and counting, to strengthening fine-motor skills while stringing beads, to using imaginations as they “sell” paletas in our Dramatic Play area—our students are making meaningful discoveries all around the classroom.
