Good morning parents!

I hope you're enjoying your weekend. I just wanted to send the calendar for next month's activities and lesson themes. It's a pretty mellow month. We will be outside every day the weather allows.
We will be starting our annual caterpillar to butterfly lesson. The larvae will be here and ready by the 11th. They will watch the caterpillars eat, grow and develop their chrysalis. They will then watch the chrysalis hatch. We will care for the butterflies for 1 day and then release them after their wings dry. There is no telling what day they will hatch. Unfortunately last year it happened on a weekend and I had to send videos. Hopefully that won't happen this year. The prior years it always happened while the kids were in attendance. Fingers crossed!!

A reminder that Mother's Day gifts will go home this coming Friday. They will be early since I will be on vacation the week before Mother's Day and this is the last week they'll be in attendance before the holiday. They're very excited to make them and present them.
I was not able to complete the other art project with the pictures of them sleeping. Only one family sent in the picture and unfortunately I can't do just one child. Maybe we'll try again next year.
I did have an inquiry about the annual camping trip. If I have enough willing participants, we would love to take the kids on a weekend trip. Please let me know if you're interested so we can coordinate a date and I can start to mentally prepare the kids for an exciting unplugged trip!
