Saying goodbye to the kids I’ve watched grow from infants is one of the hardest parts of being a childcare provider.
People don’t often talk about how deep our bonds are with these children or how much we truly love and care for them as if they were our own. I’ll be honest, this is the part of the journey I struggle with the most. My heart aches, but I know they’ll go on to do amazing things.
To the parents, Annabel & Londale: thank you for trusting me with your babies and allowing me to be part of your community. It’s been a privilege to see them learn, laugh, play, and grow.
I’ll never forget them.🥺💛
To my boys, Elijah and Luka: you are so wonderful in every way. I have loved you both since you walked in my door almost 9 years ago. Only 5 for you, my Luka ❤️. But I watched you grow in your mom's belly.
I know you will both be strong, successful leaders with hearts of gold and minds of genius. I know that you are ready for school and anything else that comes your way. I'm so proud of you and the growth you've shown. Watching both of you learn to crawl, walk, run, talk, read, write, play, and become well round boys was one of my many joys. I will miss you so much, but I'll always remember those angelic smiles and best big boy hugs.
It was a pleasure getting you ready to take on the world! I've enjoyed every second.
Kindergarten and 3rd grade are waiting for you.
Crush it!! Farewell, my monsters ❤️
