If you have interest in the idea of "freeorder," (obviously not many people do or spellcheck would recognize it.) which is any balance of designed order and spontaneous order, you can easily see in this demonstration, spontaneous order in various perceivable patterns emerge and shift in cycles. The caption is designed for public consumption because there is no chaos in this demonstration. Every pendulum follows known physical laws continuously. And the relationship between them is consistent. If you prime your subconscious conceptually a little bit, to be open to a wider variety of patterns then do not let your conceptual mind dominate,(usually easier for artists) relax and alertly continue to watch for more patterns you will gradually recognize more and more patterns. as one pattern seems to be breaking up you will notice smaller groups of balls forming patterns that are gradually also changing. At first the small patterns seem independent and unrelated, but if you continue to be curious you can gradually recognize the relationship between these smaller patterns and understand how they are transitioning between the larger more obvious patterns. The longer you do this, the apparent randomness gradually begins to disappear. (FB is not letting me make paragraphs)This is not entirely a demonstration of just natural spontaneous order. Being a demonstration It is "designed" to illustrate by simplifying and making the relationships more perceptually obvious. The pendulums are made of identical mass, aligned, evenly spaced, and started from the simplest pattern in the cyclic sequence. Notice this can be done with no complex formulas and calculation, just simple measurement and gaging. Of course Physics and math applies and helps to explain and makes the patterns useful if you want to use them in some utilitarian, esthetic, or entertaining way. (paragraph) The balance between spontaneous and designed order has a wide range and that range of balance has unlimited patterns within it and those patterns are complex and variable just as the "freeorder" naturally functioning in this demonstration. There are always multiple tipping points within spontaneous orders just as you observe in this simple demo. (paragraph) The universe is infinitely more complex than this simple demo, but fundamental universal insights like this apply throughout and by "thinking in principle" and exploring the further patterns and principles among principles in unlimited iterations "Integrable mind building" gradually makes complexity more understandable. Randomness is a word for current lack of pattern recognition.

This is a very integrative demonstration. It Demonstrates how many insights from many pursuits are related to iron in both interesting and useful ways. Mentally it is demonstration of integration or thinking beyond linear.

There is a cultural attitude that is ubiquitous world wide that I think of as 'The Opposition Model. [TOM] It has evolved and become very sophisticated over thousands of years of power mongering. The various intricacies of mental contortions involved in the practice are documented in hundreds of books that deal with specific categories or even several patterns of closure, like evasion, spin doctoring, self deception, use of logical fallacies, them versus us, over confidence, and a very long list of others that are applied to almost every area of opinion and possible difference of viewpoint. Philosophy, s*x, fairness, politics, religion, health, and many more are constantly sources of conflict and even war. Even many things that are complementary and mutually beneficial and interdependent are modeled as in conflict resulting in disaster.
