Aurora R8 will host a Free Shot Clinic & Sports Physicals event on Monday, July 27, 2026, from 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. at Aurora High School!

This event is open to:
• Students needing updated school immunizations
• Student-athletes needing a sports physical for the 2026–2027 school year

No appointment is necessary, and walk-ins are welcome.

Please note: Vaccines are free for students with Medicaid. For students without Medicaid, there is a $10 charge per vaccine.

Students under 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Please bring an insurance card if applicable, though insurance is not required.

Aurora Wrestling Summer Practice is just around the corner!

Practices will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00–8:00 p.m. in the Robinson School storm shelter for current 5th–12th grade students.

Congratulations to the Aurora High School Class of 2026 scholarship recipients!

Through their hard work, dedication, and achievements, the Class of 2026 earned approximately $260,000 in scholarships to support their future educational and career goals.

Aurora R8 is incredibly proud of these students and all they have accomplished. We look forward to seeing the amazing things they will achieve in the future!

Aurora High School is proud to recognize the Class of 2026 students who have earned Laude honors!

Each year, Aurora R8 recognizes honor graduates using the Laude system based on students’ final weighted grades at the end of their 7th semester.

The three levels of recognition are:
• Summa Cum Laude — “with highest praise”
• Magna Cum Laude — “with great praise”
• Cum Laude — “with praise”

These students have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement, dedication, and perseverance throughout their high school careers. Congratulations to each of these students and their families on this incredible accomplishment!

FREE SUMMER MEALS FOR KIDS

During the school year, students receive nutritious meals at school, but kids are just as busy — and just as hungry — during the summer break. The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) helps provide the nutrition kids need when school is out.

This summer, FREE breakfast and lunch meals will be available for all children up to age 18 in our community.

DATES: Tuesday, May 27, 2026, through Thursday, June 26, 2026

Jr. High - 11:35-11:55
High School-11:30-11:50

WHO: All children up to age 18
COST: FREE!

Summer School starts Tuesday, May 26 at Aurora R8!

We are excited to welcome students for a fun month of learning, activities, and experiences. Summer School will run through Thursday, June 25.

Reminder:
• Drop-off at Robinson School may begin at 7:00 a.m.
• General drop-off begins at 7:30 a.m.
• Dismissal is at 3:30 p.m.

Bus Information:
• Families riding the bus should watch for buses Tuesday morning, as pickup times and bus numbers may be different from the regular school year.
• Bus pick up and drop off times may vary during the first week and will become more consistent as Summer School progresses.

• Estimated bus pickup times:
Far north and far south areas of the district: around 6:30 a.m.
North town: around 6:50 a.m.
Center of town: around 7:00 a.m.
South town: around 7:00 a.m.

Parents should call the bus barn with any transportation questions: 678-4005 .

We're excited to bring back our engaging, hands-on approach to summer learning that goes beyond the classroom and into the real world. This program is designed to make learning fun, meaningful, and memorable for every student.

• Hands-on, real-life learning experiences
• Integrated ELA and Math activities
• Games, teamwork, creativity, and outdoor fun
• Field trips that connect classroom concepts to the world around us

We are asking all families to complete the summer school form, whether or not your child plans to attend.
