Aurora High School students may check out their Chromebooks on the following dates:

• Seniors: Monday, August 10, 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
• Juniors: Tuesday, August 11, 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
• Sophomores: Wednesday, August 12, 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
• Freshmen: Thursday, August 13, 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.

During early checkout, students may also pick up a paper copy of their schedule. Please note that students will not have access to the rest of the building during these times.

Chromebook checkout will also be available during Aurora High School Open House on Thursday, August 20, from 6:00–7:30 p.m.

Fall sports are almost here! All Aurora R8 fall athletic practices begin Monday, August 10.

Student-athletes and families should watch for team-specific information regarding practice times, locations, and any required equipment.

📚✏️ Aurora R8 Open House is Almost Here!

Join us on Thursday, August 20, as we welcome students and families back for the 2026–2027 school year!

Come meet your teachers, visit classrooms, pick up important information and get ready for an amazing year.

Open House Schedule:

• Pate Early Childhood: 4:30–6:00 p.m.
• Robinson School: 5:00–6:30 p.m.
• Aurora Junior High & ALC: 5:30–7:00 p.m.
• Aurora High School: 6:00–7:30 p.m.

Families may also drop off student medications during Open House. Please remember:

• Prescription medications must be in the original box or bottle with the prescription number, date and doctor’s information.
• All emergency medications must include an action plan signed by the prescribing doctor.
• Medications must be dropped off by an adult so the required paperwork can be completed.

Aurora Wrestling Summer Practice is just around the corner!

Practices will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00–8:00 p.m. in the Robinson School storm shelter for current 5th–12th grade students.

Meet Daniel Cline, our new JAG Specialist at Aurora High and Junior High Schools!

Daniel began his teaching career at Holman Middle School in St. Louis before spending the past three years at Crane High School, where he taught Social Studies and JAG. He graduated from Missouri State University in 2021 with a degree in Middle School Education and is excited to bring his experience to Aurora R8.

Daniel grew up in Republic and currently lives there with his wife, Bree, and their son, Peyton. After college, Daniel and Bree spent two years in St. Louis before returning to the Republic area.

Outside of school, Daniel enjoys golfing, spending time with his two cats, and cheering on the Denver Broncos.
