This weekend, 20 ASCENDER students stepped out of their comfort zones and into the college experience through Catch the Next! 🏫💙

From staying overnight in university residence halls to hearing inspiring stories from professionals and transfer students, our scholars got a firsthand look at what their future can hold. 🚀

They also connected with students from community colleges across Texas, expanded their networks, and built friendships that will last far beyond the weekend. 🤝⭐

And of course, no great weekend is complete without a little friendly competition 🎳😎—the bowling lanes brought out some serious skills (and maybe a few rivalries 😉).

On April 26, we celebrated the 11th Annual ASCENDER Celebración Ceremony at ACC Eastview!

This bilingual event honored 100 students who completed their first year in the ASCENDER program and received a traditional stole to recognize their hard work and achievement.

It was so cool to see a full room of students who have applied or are in the process of attending ACC this Fall 2026 🥳

Not one, not two… but 25 ASCENDER students showed up yesterday—rain and all—for the ASCENDER Cultural Potluck 🌎✨

An idea sparked by students who wanted to learn more about each other’s backgrounds turned into something truly special.

From fruit kolaches from Slovakia 🇸🇰, to mole from Puebla 🇲🇽, to pão de queijo from Brazil 🇧🇷 every dish and student told a story.

A beautiful afternoon… and maybe the start of a new tradition 💛

From Highland Campus on March 27th to our Round Rock and South Austin events on April 10th, students came together for inspiring days of growth and opportunity at our Career Day Info Sessions! 🙌

Impact Day success! 🎉

Over 25 Ascender students came together on Saturday, March 14th, at the South Austin Senior Center to make a difference 💜. From great music 🎶 to delicious food 🍽️, it was an amazing day of giving back, connecting, and building community.

Students had the chance to socialize, serve, and contribute to a meaningful cause, and the impact was felt all around 🙌.

Meet Ethan, our student hourly! 🎉

He was accepted into ACC’s highly competitive Diagnostic Medical Imaging – Radiology program, ranking 13th out of 404 applicants with a 4.0 GPA and a 92% TEAS7 score. He also placed 2nd in the Amazing Race: Riverbat Edition and will be co-hosting the Legacy of Leaders event this April.
