On Monday, June 22, Pate students are encouraged to wear red, white, and blue as we celebrate the 250th birthday of the United States of America!
We look forward to seeing our youngest Houndawgs show their patriotic spirit and help us recognize this historic milestone. β€οΈπ€π

π Aurora Youth Summer Boys Basketball Camp for Grades 2β6 π
Train. Compete. Improve. Have Fun.
Students in grades 2β6 are invited to join us June 4β5 for a fun, high-energy basketball camp focused on skill development, competition, and teamwork!

Aurora R8 will host a Free Shot Clinic & Sports Physicals event on Monday, July 27, 2026, from 9:00 a.m.β3:00 p.m. at Aurora High School!
This event is open to:
β’ Students needing updated school immunizations
β’ Student-athletes needing a sports physical for the 2026β2027 school year
No appointment is necessary, and walk-ins are welcome.
Please note: Vaccines are free for students with Medicaid. For students without Medicaid, there is a $10 charge per vaccine.
Students under 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Please bring an insurance card if applicable, though insurance is not required.

Yearbooks ordered during the 2025β2026 school year will be delivered to schools at the beginning of the 2026β2027 school year once they arrive from the publisher.
Schools will communicate additional pickup and distribution details once yearbooks arrive.

Students with 97% or higher attendance for second semester were rewarded with a fun afternoon of popsicles and STEM exploration!
Although Popsicles on the Playground was rained out, students still enjoyed popsicles in the cafΓ© while spending time building, creating, and exploring STEM bins together. Great attendance pays off!

FREE SUMMER MEALS FOR KIDS
During the school year, students receive nutritious meals at school, but kids are just as busy β and just as hungry β during the summer break. The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) helps provide the nutrition kids need when school is out.
This summer, FREE breakfast and lunch meals will be available for all children up to age 18 in our community.
