Rheumatic diseases are autoimmune and inflammatory conditions that cause the immune system to attack joints, muscles, bones and organs. There are many types of rheumatic diseases but some of the most common are rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, spondyloarthritis, psoriatic arthritis, osteoarthritis, vasculitis and gout. The mission of the Division of Rheumatology is to improve lives of all individuals
