Colorado AHEC was proud to provide free health screenings at the Burlington Health, Wellness, and Resource Fair on Saturday, September 12.
It was a great opportunity to connect with community members and support access to local health and wellness resources. A big thank you to CAHEC, Health Essentials, and Kit Carson County for inviting Colorado AHEC to be part of such a wonderful community event.

COAHEC is proud to spotlight Lyndall Young, Outreach and Education Coordinator at Western Colorado AHEC (WCAHEC), whose work helped bring 17 free naloxone kiosks to Mesa County, with 9,500 kits accessed since early 2025.

HOPE Institute 2026 is officially underway!

Today, our HOPE Institute students arrived at UCCS, moved into the campus dorms, and kicked off an exciting week with a campus scavenger hunt!

Over the next several days, students will explore healthcare careers, connect with new friends and mentors, and get a firsthand look at opportunities in healthcare.

We’re excited for a great week ahead!
