Well done, Mesabi East Band. You continue to represent our schools and our community with pride. Your dedication and service are truly admirable and inspiring. Marching Band is not just about the music. It’s about precision, hard work, discipline, teamwork, and serving our communities. Every step, every note, and every detail requires focus and commitment. You show what it means to rise to that standard, and we couldn’t be more proud of the way you carry yourselves.

Shout out to all the volunteers, bus drivers, parents, parade workers, emergency services, and all the other bands at our parades this weekend.

Land of the Loon 2026

What you see in a marching band video is only a small glimpse of the hours of work, focus, and teamwork it takes to get there. These students show up, push themselves, and grow together every single rehearsal — and it shows.

A huge thank‑you to Matt Jarva, Bob Saumer, Kristen Berg, and all of the amazing parent volunteers who stepped in and kept things running smoothly while Mr. Peterson was called away for military duty. Your support makes moments like this possible, and our students feel it.

Proud of this group and everything they’re building together.

Days like today I’m reminded of how blessed we are to have such an outstanding community and student body at Mesabi East. The musicians in this photo showed up today not for recognition or personal gain, but to serve our community and honor the men and women who have come before us. Thank you to everyone who was in attendance at the services this morning. Well done Mesabi East Community.
