Field Day 2026
HUGE Success! All day long I heard students say that it was the best day ever. It really was. A special thank you goes out to Mr. Griffin and Mrs. Johnson for putting together all of the activities of the day. Thank you also to all of the volunteers who came to help out.
Students got to go through blown up obstacle courses, play yard games like football toss, and soccer kick, sing their hearts out at karaoke, go crazy with our foam party and water activities, run relay races, have parachute play, compete in tug-a-war, and “blast off into space” at the SkyDome Planetarium.

Our fifth graders had an amazing promotion day yesterday! Fifth graders-as you leave the safety of our Georgetown nest, we wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors. Please come back and visit. Congratulations Hawks!

Congratulations to our little kinder hawklets! You are all on your way to first grade!

Congratulations WVHS Class of 2026! You did it! Whatever you choose to do-whether it be college, attend a trade school, or go out into the workforce, we wish you all the best of luck. Go Hawks!

Our last Hawk retiring is Mrs. Herrig. Mrs. Herrig  has been a special education teacher, student service coordinator, and reading specialist. She is retiring after 35 years of teaching (19 years at Georgetown)!
Mrs. Herrig, will miss those “lightbulb moments” when a child learns how to read. She will miss the funny and sweet things students say every day. She will also miss the talented teachers that she has had the honor of working with for so many years. She is looking forward to traveling, boating with her husband on the Illinois river, hanging out with her adult children, and other family and friends.
Thank you for your dedication and hard work. We will miss you.

Seussical The Musical was performed today in front of all our hawks. It was AMAZING! We have got some Georgetown Hawks with major talent. Everyone looks forward to performing for parents and family tonight. A HUGE thank you goes out to Mrs. Tir, Mrs Dobosz and Mrs. Hedl- your help and support for the musical has not gone unnoticed.
