It’s the start of a new era.

Today, Lyn Knoll lived it's last sunrise. As the day goes on, so do our memories. Our little school is coming down.

Oh the difference a day makes.

So, this happened yesterday. Our little school, and all it's history has been fenced off. Once step closer to demolition. Although the physical building will be dust soon, all of the memories, successes, friendships and lifelong lessons will still remain.

As I walked through the empty halls of Lyn Knoll for the very last time, I was brought to tears knowing that “this” will never be what it has been.

You never really understand the bond you build with the people you work with. You learn who they are, where they come from, what they represent and just how much they mean to you. They become your family.

Our Dragon family shared stories of love and loss, births and deaths, marriage and divorce, infertility and pregnancies, name choices and name changes, illnesses and accomplishments, celebrations and violence, protests and presidency, a global pandemic and once in a lifetime eclipses and job loss and job offers.

We hugged each other at our worst, and continued to guide each other at our best.

They say Dragons represent luck, power, and strength. I say, that’s pretty darn right. We’re lucky to have been placed in each other’s paths; our power as a whole is a force to reckoned with; and our strength when we’re together is immeasurable. 💪🏽

To my Lyn Knoll family, you are forever a part of me. Thank you for all of the amazing memories. Now go on and LEAVE YOUR PRINTS! 🐉 👣
