Reminder that our uniform sale is coming up on Saturday!

Attention former Pride of Aurora Band Members!

Want a piece of your band history? Come to the band uniform sale and purchase one (or two!) former Pride of Aurora band uniform sets!

The sale will be held from 8:00–11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 20, in the Aurora JUNIOR HIGH band room.

Uniform sets will be sold for $25 each and include the jacket (with gauntlets, sash, and/or buckle as applicable), bibbers, and hat with plume (as supplies last). Individual pieces will not be sold separately.

Reminder that ALL marching band students must have a current physical on file. Make sure to attend this free clinic on July 27 or get a physical with your doctor prior to band camp!

Aurora R8 will host a Free Shot Clinic & Sports Physicals event on Monday, July 27, 2026, from 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. at Aurora High School!

This event is open to:
• Students needing updated school immunizations
• Student-athletes needing a sports physical for the 2026–2027 school year

No appointment is necessary, and walk-ins are welcome.

Please note: Vaccines are free for students with Medicaid. For students without Medicaid, there is a $10 charge per vaccine.

Students under 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Please bring an insurance card if applicable, though insurance is not required.

Several HS band members performed at MSHSAA State Solo and Ensemble today! These students qualified for state way back at the beginning of March, and received the following ratings today:
🥇 Samuel George, tuba solo
🥈 Verin Shirley, trombone solo
🥈 Melissa Barnett, flute solo
🥈 Woodwind Quintet - Melissa Barnett, Jasmine Koehler, Lavell Brigham, Maci Pinkley, and Rachel Antonuk
🥉 Maci Pinkley, French horn solo

We also participated in a special national anthem performance to celebrate 100 years of MSHSAA!

Our High School Band performed at MSHSAA State Large Ensemble Festival today at Nixa HS. The band earned an Exemplary (1) rating, the top rating that ensembles can receive. Congratulations to our band students and their directors on their hard work and dedication to making beautiful music!

Three of our Pride of Aurora bands performed at contest today, and it was a wonderful day of music-making! The combined junior high band received an Exemplary (1) rating, the advanced band received an Outstanding (2) rating, and the high school wind ensemble received an Exemplary (1) rating. Congratulations to our Houn’ Dawg musicians!
