Today the high-fire kiln was unloaded, marking the first firing since Jason introduced his new glaze, Widow's Walk. There were many incredible examples of this glaze in the kiln—come in and pick up your work today!

Gabriel’s first solo high‑fire load was a complete success!
Everything survived the firing beautifully, and your pieces are now ready for pickup. This kiln run was packed with creativity, bold glaze choices, and so many amazing results.

Huge thanks to Jason for yet another excellent firing, these pieces wouldn’t shine the same without it.

NOTICE OF CLOSURE

As a planned budget-reduction measure, Thursday, July 2, 2026, is an unpaid furlough day for city of Aurora employees.

Most city of Aurora facilities, including Bicentennial Art Center, will be closed. Emergency services and public safety operations are not affected.

Please note that Friday, July 3, is a city holiday in observance of Independence Day, and Bicentennial Art Center will also be closed on Saturday, July 5.
