I couldn't be any prouder of the performance of the Oswego Panther Girls. Our first meet, an Invitational has our 4x200 1st in the section, 8th in 3A and 10th in the state, only. 8 seconds from State Qualifying time.
Our 4x400 is the fastest in the section, 13th in 3A and 18th in the State.
Everyone has put in hard work and it's only going to get better!

Did you know that Oswego one had its own track club? Well not officially.
In 2017, I, Coach Rivera decided to start a track club made up of only Oswego runners and jumpers. I had grown tired of other track clubs recruiting only the best age but giving the athletes the personal attention they deserved.
This club was called GTC or Gryphon Track Club, named after my high school mascot. We had some nice successes, but most of all we had fun and we learned a lot.
After one year I decided not to do it anymore. The days were long and besides the comradery, I did not see the benefit of running summer track as a team. This was a great group of athletes and an amazing summer! Everyone did like the uniforms!

Who's ready? A glimpse of what's to come.
I still get chills when I watch this race. Textbook 4x400m race. The OHS Record holders, indoor and outdoor. Notice the stance at the line, the positioning from Luke at 1st leg, the handoffs (NO HAND SWITCHING AT THE HANDOFF). But most importantly, you can feel the confidence in their race and their abilities.
This comes from always working hard at practice and being a cohesive unit...always. Not just showing up when it's time to race.
