Welcome to the team, Alex! We're thrilled to have you join the Royal Academy of Surgical Assisting as our new Instructor and Clinical Coordinator. Your expertise will be vital in guiding and shaping the next generation of surgical assistants.

Get to know Alex:

I started my journey in the Air Force as a surgical tech and sterile processing tech, later serving as a search and extraction medic where I was activated for Hurricane Harvey. Since then, I’ve earned my MBA and MSHA, became a Registered Nurse and Certified Surgical First Assistant, and am now working toward my Family Nurse Practitioner degree.

I’m grateful to bring over 15 years of OR experience and 10 years of teaching into my new role as Instructor & Clinical Onboarding Coordinator. Looking forward to mentoring the next generation of surgical assistants and being part of this amazing team.
