During the first week of classes Superintendent, Dr. John Price toured schools across the district—connecting with educators, support staff, and students across early childhood, elementary, middle, high schools, and STEPS.

Congratulations to Jimmy O’Neal, Neuqua Valley class of 2026, on completing his Eagle Scout project this summer. He designed shelves to be used in the NVHS greenhouse, and helped build shelves to be used year round for botany courses.

Congratulations to Neuqua Valley junior Jeremy Lauff, who won two gold medals at the Obstacle Course Racing World Championships in Ireland earlier this month - the 100-meter individual obstacle course race and the age 16+ mixed relay.

Yesterday, we welcomed students back for the first day of school. Dr. John Price joined Brookdale Bobcats to continue the tradition of ringing the bell. Thank you Naperville Community Television (NCTV17) for covering the fun and excitement at Brookdale Elementary!

Today, our amazing educators and staff gathered for an inspiring day filled with learning, connection, and celebration as we kick off the 2026-27 school year.

We were thrilled to officially welcome our new superintendent, Dr. John Price! Dr. Price delivered an inspiring message reflecting on the rich legacy of IPSD 204 and sharing a powerful vision for continuing to build on our foundation of excellence.

We are energized, inspired, and ready to welcome our students back on Monday, August 17!

Congratulations to Waubonsie Valley High School alum Vanessa DiBernardo and Metea Valley High School grad Zach Wood on their recent induction into the Illinois Sports Hall of Fame. DiBernardo, a 2010 Waubonsie grad, won three state soccer championships before going on to play at the University of Illinois and then the National Women’s Soccer League, where she is a midfielder for the Kansas City Current. Wood, a 2012 Metea grad, was a two-time All-State player for the Valley Co-Op lacrosse team. He set state records for goals, assists, and career points, then played at the University of Virginia.
