We offer a well-rounded variety of clinical research: •Drug studies

• Device studies
• Observational (blood draw studies, questionnaire studies)
• Biobanking
• Patient reported outcomes
• Imaging (MRI, fMRI, PET scan)
• Quality improvements
• A translational lab and tissue bank
• Non-drug treatments/interventions

Many studies are designed by our excellent physicians themselves. From observing the patients they treat, the physicians pose important questions to research; these studies are called Investigator Initiated. Other studies conducted include funding and support from pharmaceutical industries, private foundations, private donors, and government agencies such as the National Institute of Health (NIH). We are proud to have such a variety of research to answer the difficult questions of neurological disorders. Neurology is the 3rd largest clinical research division in the School of Medicine at the University of Colorado with over 100 active clinical trials in different phases of completion (initial study start up, enrolling new participants, and follow up of current participants). Our faculty consists of over 50 clinicians/scientists dedicated to research, dedicated staff to clinical research regulatory and billing, and over 20 research coordinators conducting the day to day operations of studies. Additionally, our worldwide collaborators include experts from academic institutions as well as leaders in the clinical research field.
