We are about 50 days away from the 5th Annual Tom-A-Hawk Turkey Trot along the banks of the Mighty Fox River in Downtown Aurora.

🙏🏾 PRAY FOR TRE

We watched him grow up from Dieterich Elementary School to Waldo Middle School to East Aurora High School Class of 2007. A brilliant young man with the brightest smile that could light up any room.

We witnessed that fateful day in March 2007 that may have tempered his body, but never did it temper his spirit. For the last 18 and 1/2 years, he taught us the true meaning of a Leo’s strength and resilience.

We say farewell to Aurora’s son who brought us together as a community and will keep us together in our fond memories of him.

We extended our deepest condolences to his devoted mother who never left his side, his dear father, his beloved brothers, family and friends.

The 27th Annual East/ West Alumni Basketball Shoot-Out will be held on Friday April 11, 2025 at East Aurora High School. Lady Alumni tip off is 6:00 p.m. The Gentlemen Alumni game will immediately follow.

Tickets can be purchased now at Sophisticated You Hair Salon and the Marie Wilkinson Child Development Center-both in Aurora.

Online sales will begin on Tuesday, April 1st. Link forthcoming.

Admission to the game is $10 adults/$8 students. Children under 5 are admitted free.

Admission at the door is $12 adults/$10 students.

All proceeds benefit the Marie Wilkinson Child Development Center

On the new Bloomhaven campus at the former Copley Hospital site, there is the new Bardwell Residences, a residential senior retirement center and the new headquarters of East Aurora School District 131.

There are two iconic retired teachers from East Aurora School District 131 who now live at Bardwell Residences.

During the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Atrévete Cafe 1888 on campus, we had the opportunity to thank both of them for their decades of service to the children and families of Aurora and to give them their flowers!

❤️Longtime elementary school teacher, MRS. LIZ HARDY, of Dieterich Elementary School, retired after serving 30+ years in the district.

❤️Longtime middle and high school teacher, MRS. MARY DUDZIENSKI, of Waldo Middle School and East Aurora High School, also retired after nearly three decades of teaching in the district.

Together, they have impacted and influenced thousands of lives and we are happy to know they are enjoying their golden years at Bardwell Residences with the company of each other, many other residences, their family and friends!

They both shared how much they found it a privilege to teach in Aurora and want their former students to know they still love them very much!

🌹Along with flowers, Mrs. Hardy and Mrs. Dudzienski were gifts a big bad of Christmas gifts.

We thank them for giving the to Aurora youth!
