What a wonderful way to close the year! We were proud to host our first SBDC Holiday Breakfast, bringing together alumni from the Business Growth Academy and Academia de Negocios for a morning filled with connection, celebration, and inspiration.

The event featured a warm welcome and light breakfast, a look back at our 2025 SBDC highlights, and meaningful conversations among business owners, graduates, community partners, and emerging leaders. It was especially rewarding to reconnect our alumni community and celebrate the progress, resilience, and growth of the entrepreneurs we serve.

En mayo de 2025, Celia dio un gran paso hacia su sueño emprendedor al abrir Las Tapatías Family Kitchen, un restaurante familiar que comparte con su comunidad los sabores auténticos de Guadalajara, Jalisco MX🇲🇽🍽️

En su menú encontrará especialidades como carne en su jugo, birria, tortas ahogadas y margaritas artesanales elaboradas con frutas naturales y tequila de alta calidad. 🍹🌮

Celia trabajó junto a Noelia Ruiz, directora del Centro de Desarrollo de Pequeños Negocios de Illinois en Waubonsee, y participó en la Academia Emprende, lo que le brindó la confianza y el apoyo necesario para superar los retos iniciales y abrir oficialmente su restaurante.

Gracias a su dedicación y al acompañamiento del SBDC, Las Tapatías ya cuenta con una excelente aceptación en la comunidad, y Celia sigue soñando en grande. ✨
