It is not often that such a small group of athletes can stand up to a big challenge, that takes them out of their comfort zone. Congratulations to Yuvaan Dalal for his Kata silver and Kumite bronze in the 8yr old Intermediate Division.
Congratulations to Rivini Siriwardana for her Kata bronze in the 9yr old Novice Division.
Finally, congratulations to the hardest working member of our , Prerna Dhawan, , for placing at the top in 3 different Elite Kumite age Divisions:
1.) 16-17yrs -59KG: Bronze - 3rd seed on USA Karate National Team for the 2026 PKF Championships in Costa Rica.
2.) 18-20yrs -61KG: Silver - 2nd seed on the USA Karate National Team for the 2026 WKF Jr World Championship in Poland.
3.) 18-34yrs -61KG: Silver 2nd seed for the 2027 USA Senior National Team Trials in Colorado.
Prerna Dhawan is the only athlete in this year’s USA NKF National Championship & Team Trials, who competed and medalled at the top in 3 different age divisions. This is a proof that, with a committed attitude, and good foundation, you will always be at the top. We use each experience to learn from our mistakes and make ourselves better equipped for the next challenge. Thanks to everyone in the JKA and USANKF for all their support.
