The premiere screening of "Dueling Watchers," created by Rosary alumna Melissa Bronski ('15), was held Rosary College Prep August 29.

The short film was produced by , an award-winning female-led production company founded by Melissa and Shanna Riker. The evening also featured a special screening of 'Drivin Me Looney', an animated short directed by Michael Cook, raffle prizes, and a reception.

Thank you to Melissa for allowing Rosary to be part of this event, and to Sara Caligiuri ('14), Director of Recruitment & Enrollment, and SALT volunteers Madeline Becker ('28) and Annabelle Nawrocki ('27).

Surrounded by the love of her family, Mary Beth (Oswald) Laurich peacefully passed away on July 6, 2026, at the age of 86. She is the mother of Misty (Laurich '95) O'Connell, the mother-in-law of Sue (Ruddy '83) Laurich and Julie (Morehouse '89) Laurich, and the grandmother of Samantha (Laurich '18) Ham. Rosary College Prep is proud to announce Julie Cibulskis ‘91 as Chair of the Governing Board.

A distinguished attorney, respected community leader, and proud Rosary alumna, Julie brings exceptional leadership, professional expertise, and a lifelong commitment to Rosary’s mission.

Julie is a civil trial attorney and shareholder at Speers, Reuland & Cibulskis, P.C. in Aurora, where she concentrates her practice in personal injury, guardianships, will contests, and contract disputes.

She serves as Vice Chair of the Illinois Supreme Court Committee on Character and Fitness for the Second District and recently completed a six-year term as Chair of the Kane County Bar Association Judicial Evaluation Committee.

Her leadership has been recognized with the 2026 Kane County Law Day Spirit Award and the Kane County Bar Association Community Service Award.

A 1991 Rosary graduate, Julie earned her bachelor’s degree, summa cm laude, from Creighton University and her Juris Doctor, magna cm laude, from Seton Hall University School of Law.

She previously served on the Rosary Lay Board of Trustees from 2002–2012 and rejoined the Governing Board in 2025.

Julie is an active member of Annunciation B.V.M. Parish, where she has served as a lector and Eucharistic Minister for more than 25 years.

She and her husband, Scott Roskuszka, live in Winfield.

Their daughter, Lauren ‘21, is completing her master’s degree in Cardiovascular Science, and their son, Ian, is studying industrial engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Today's update on a past Sr. Mary Joseph Scholar features Clare (Rickel ‘17) Chomor.

“Following in my mother’s footsteps had always been a dream of mine, and thanks to the Sister Mary Joseph Scholarship and the generosity of its donors, I was given the opportunity to attend Rosary,” said Clare, daughter of Therese (Queenan '85) Rickel.

After Rosary, Clare attended Villanova University, graduating cm laude with a Bachelor of Science in Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience and minors in Spanish, Cognitive Science, and Psychology. She then began her career as a Regulatory Affairs Specialist at a medical device company, where she drafts and submits new product applications to the FDA and
Health Canada.

“My time at Rosary was deeply meaningful, and I immersed myself in opportunities that shaped me both academically and personally,” Clare said. “I concentrated on science and math coursework, ran on the cross-country team, served on the Senior Retreat Team, and had the privilege of leading Kairos.

“Through the support of classmates, teachers, teammates, and coaches, Rosary cultivated a community rooted in encouragement, confidence, and togetherness. It was an environment that continually challenged me to grow and inspired me to become the best student, athlete, and woman I could be,” she said.

“I remain deeply grateful to the donors whose generosity made my Rosary education possible. Their support opened doors for me and helped shape the path I have been fortunate to pursue,” she said. “I hope to honor their investment by carrying forward the values Rosary instilled in me and, in turn, help create opportunities for future generations of students.”

Today's update on a past Sr. Mary Joseph Scholar features Evelyn Scheel (‘22).
Evelyn recently graduated from Western Kentucky University with her Bachelor’s in Nursing. She will begin this summer as a Women and Infants Float Nurse in Fort Worth, Texas, working between Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, Antepartum, and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

“I am excited to provide care to mothers and their babies. I feel privileged that I will get to care for families in their most vulnerable and memorable times,” Evelyn said.

“Rosary challenged me academically, preparing me for the rigorous nature of nursing school,” she said. “Rosary also provided me with a supportive and loving environment of so many amazing women who I grew close with in high school.”

At Rosary, Evelyn participated in the musical each year, started an American Sign Language Club. and was in National Honor Society. In college, she competed with the WKU Equestrian Team, and continued to hone her American Sign Language skills.

“Thank you to everyone who has made this scholarship possible,” she said. “Rosary has been such a blessing to me, my mom, my sister, and even my aunts and cousins. This scholarship allowed my sister (Miranda ‘20) and I to attend Rosary at the same time, and I am truly grateful for the opportunities it has provided me.”

Today's update on a past Sr. Mary Joseph Scholar features Rachel (Loy '16) Miller:

Rachel (Loy ‘16) Miller found her love of science at Rosary. After graduating from Lewis University with a BS in Biochemistry and earning her Doctor of Pharmacy from UIC, she now works part-time as a retail pharmacist for Walgreens.

“Being a pharmacist allows me to combine my love of science with direct patient care in a role that offers excellent work-life balance (something especially meaningful now as a mom to two young boys),” she said.

Rachel credits Rosary with making her the person and professional she is today. “My chemistry teacher, Miss Soni, was a true inspiration. She sparked my interest in science. She pushed her students to do their best and challenge themselves.”

“Rosary played a pivotal role in deepening my faith,” she said. “Kairos gave me space for meaningful reflection, vulnerability, and connection, helping me grow in faith in ways that continue to guide my life and family today.”

Rachel met her husband, Brian Miller, at a math team competition as sophomores. They married in 2023, and are now blessed with two sons, Alex and Charlie.

“I am forever grateful for the Sister Mary Joseph Scholarship” she said. “Without Rosary’s influence — academically, spiritually, and socially — I simply wouldn’t be where I am today. I urge fellow alumnae to consider donating to this scholarship fund so that future generations of young women can experience the same transformative education and community that shaped so many of us.”
