What if Prism Does Far More Than Simply Move an Image?

In the latest issue of Vision Development & Rehabilitation, Mark Dean, OD, FOVDR explores the spatial transformation properties of prism,and how changes in perceived size, distance, rotation, compression, and expansion may influence posture, movement, visual behavior, and sensorimotor organization.

The article challenges us to think beyond the traditional concept of prism as simply redirecting light and instead consider what happens when we alter a patient’s perception of space itself.
