It’s was a great way to close out 14 years. Thank you to everyone who impacted our lives, you will always have a special place in our hearts.

To our AKMF friends and family,

It is with a heavy heart that Dawn and I inform you that as of September 18th, we will not be keeping our doors open and providing a space to train. We know that everyone is feeling this pandemic and its subsequent economic downturn in their own personal and often painful way. We at Aurora Krav Maga are no different. There is no way we could have seen this coming and we hope you understand we did all we could do to survive this stressor. That being said, we won’t.

We know that a lot of you chose to try and stick this out with us and for that, we are very grateful. We have always tried our best to keep Krav Maga affordable and not run a for profit business, even working full time at other careers in order to supplement the school. We did this because Krav Maga has changed our lives and we want it to change yours too. Unfortunately, we have had several members that have requested to cancel their memberships which has forced us to operate at a consistent loss, too great to overcome and still support ourselves.

We would like to say thank you to those who have stayed by our side during this difficult time. Your final tuition payment for the month of September (billed on 9/15) will give you an equal credit to put towards purchase of the equipment that we will be selling at the end of this month. This equipment will include heavy bags, ground-n-pound bags, focus mitts, Thai pads, gloves and shin guards, and misc. exercise equipment.

Once again, we are sorry for closing and will miss all that you have personally brought to our gym and our lives. We wish you the best and hope this is the largest loss any of us will suffer during this strange time. Hope to see you on the mats again someday.
