A week of preparing environments, planning summer experiences, and getting ready to welcome our campers ended the best way we know how, together. 💙

Our team gathered for a potluck filled with homemade dishes, laughter, and meaningful connections. Behind every beautiful Montessori experience is a dedicated community of educators and staff who support one another with care, collaboration, and heart.

Making Strudel with our elementary students. Strudel is a traditional dessert from Central Europe, especially Austria. The word strudel means “whirlpool” or “spiral” in German, referring to the rolled shape of the pastry. Influenced by Ottoman desserts such as baklava, it later spread throughout the Austro-Hungarian Empire and into northern Italy, especially Trentino-Alto Adige.

Teacher Appreciation Week at Cosmic was not simply a celebration of educators. It was a reflection of a culture built through trust, resilience, beauty, and shared purpose.

This week, our classrooms were showered with flowers, heartfelt notes, thoughtful gifts, sweet treats, and gestures of gratitude that reminded us how deeply this community values the prepared adult behind the prepared environment.

At Cosmic, to be an educator means far more than teaching lessons. It means arriving each day with dignity, patience, and the willingness to grow alongside the children. It means carrying the weight of long days, unexpected challenges, artistic visions, music rehearsals, emotional moments, and countless unseen acts of care, all while continuing to protect the beauty and harmony of the environment.

What families witnessed throughout this year, and especially during Fine Arts Festival season, was only possible because of a team that chose to come together, support one another, and believe in something larger than themselves.

To work at Cosmic is to build, to adapt, to collaborate, to laugh through difficult moments, and to continue showing up for the children with grace and intention.

Thank you to our families for making this week so meaningful. Your generosity, appreciation, and partnership reminded our educators that their work matters deeply.

This year, our children explored the ancient art of Batik, a process of creativity, patience, and transformation. Through layers of wax resistance and dye painting, they discovered how beauty emerges slowly, one intentional step at a time.

Their final works, rich with color, texture, and individuality, were proudly displayed during our 15th Annual Fine Arts Festival, honoring both the artistic journey and the careful hands behind each creation.
