It was exactly one year ago today that we had to close school due to a squirrel going wild in the building. Rain, snow, sleet - no problem. School goes on. But a crazed squirrel - high on chips - running through the hallways? That'll shut is down every time!

We’re proud to share that New America School - Aurora has been designated a Performance School by the Colorado Department of Education! This means we’re meeting state expectations in student achievement, growth, and readiness for the future.

This is the second year in a row our school has achieved this important designation from the State of Colorado.
