Fighting cancer this year. Won't be gathering walnuts anywhere but my own yard, as allowed. My apologies. Hoping things will be better next year.

The Nut Wagon : Urban Gardenerette & Black Walnut Removal
Black Walnut Removal, Urban gardens, produce, and live plants available seasonally. Aurora, MO
I start radiation and chemotherapy treatments the 19th of this month. I have Stage 3 Cervical Cancer. This will be one of the toughest fights of my life, but I'm taking it on with an Army. Friends and family are supporting me every step of the way, with God guiding the team of physicians entrusted to my treatment and cure. I will keep everyone posted to my progress when I know more. Thank you, one and all, for your support.

After my appendectomy, I started getting my overdue checkups taken care of. January 8th I had my mammogram, bloodwork, and pelvic exam. The doctor found a mass during the pelvic. They were able to send off a biopsy that resulted in being positive for squamous cell carcinoma.
Thursday I had a full body scan, and now I wait again for the results, and see an oncologist (cancer doctor) next month to see what course of action will be taken. I'll take all the prayers and good vibes you want to send.
Sticking with my Master Gardener course, taking care of Mom, and trying to keep calm and healthy as I can. Those ci******es are STAYING a thing of the past!

Two more loads from my 13th season weighed out at 408 & 418 hulled pounds for a total of 2477. This seemed to be plagued from the start this year. Two week season, waiting last minute to extend the season one week at a time... then emergency surgery benched me for the last week. I'm just going to look towards brighter days to come in the next year...

My first haul was 971 hulled pounds! Nearly a half ton! Second haul (no photo) was 680 hulled pounds, and the season has extended for one more week!

This is the shortest season I've ever heard of! I'm gonna call in some favors and pray I get approval on my vacation! Starting gathering next week, if anyone would like! Messages to commence this week!
One step closer to my retirement homestead! 16 Coturnix Quail, my very first birds!

In line at the hulling station for the final round of the season. It's been a great year. Total hauled was 5,255 hulled pounds, sold for $840.80.

Just under a ton hulled and sold and a little over 3 weeks to go! I found my new favorite black walnut boots, waterproof with comfort and tread, with a 100 year your lifetime warranty for $50 from HISEA, with a youtuber discount code. You need to check them out if you blow through boots like I do!
The Black Walnut Festival was a blast! This nut gatherer even won a prize and has to go back for it, lol!
