Thank you Vista Peak (APS) for hosting this month’s Emerging Leaders (EL) Emotional Intelligence session. Last but certainly not least, thanks to the EL Class of 2026 for your active engagement and enthusiasm!

LA Class of 2026 Education Day at the Cherry Creek Innovation Campus (CCSD) Vista Peak (APS), and the Community College of Aurora. Thank you to the LA Board Education Day Committee for planning a great day. Thanks also to the leadership and staff at all three locations for their incredible hospitality and partnership!

Business & Economic Development day with APD PAR officers at the Town Center of Aurora’s Local Love store. Thank you Joel Boyd, General Manager, for your hospitality!

City of Aurora day was outstanding! Thank you City Manager Jason Batchelor for speaking to the class. Thanks also to CM’s Medina and Hancock, Deputy City Manager Perry, staff agencies, and Aurora Water for your participation and support. Lastly, thanks to committee Chair Michelle Crawford, Vice Chair Joseph DeHerrera, and committee members for a great day!

What an amazing Community Day for LA 2026! The class visited 15 non-profit organizations in the Aurora area and the ABC Collective (last year's class project recipient). Home base for the visits was the People's Building. Huge thanks to Commitee Chair, Mary Sarah Schweiger, and Vice Chair Krista Robinson for all their work putting the day together and to the entire committee making it such a huge success. Thanks also to UMB Banks for sponsoring breakfast and Legends of Aurora Sports Grill for sponsoring and providing lunch!
