Our High School Houn’ Dawg XC runners took on the 5K course tonight at the Seneca Invitational!

Girls | 51 runners • 17 schools
🥇 Avery - 1st Place | 20:40.97
Charity - 29th Place | 27:15.51

Boys | 87 runners • 17 schools
Nathan - 25th Place | 21:10.02
Michael - 26:23.69

A huge congratulations to Avery on taking 1st place! What an accomplishment!

We are incredibly proud of all four of our runners and the effort and hard work they continue to put in. Great job representing Aurora tonight, Houn’ Dawgs! 🐾

JH HOUN’ DAWG XC | SENECA INVITATIONAL

What a great night for our two 6th-grade Junior High Houn’ Dawg runners at the Seneca Invitational!

Timberly finished in 12:43.91, placing 19th overall and earning a medal! 🏅
Alivia crossed the finish line in 14:36.83 with a great performance!

These two ladies are the youngest runners on our team and competed tonight against a tough field of 69 runners from 16 teams, including 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.

Of the 69 runners, only 13 were 6th graders!

A huge shoutout to them for stepping up against older competition and representing Aurora so well. We are incredibly proud of the hard work these two continue to put in each day. 🐾

Avery and Nathan kicked off their season today at the SWCCCA Richard Clark Invitational, competing in a huge field of 932 varsity runners across Classes 1-5!

Nathan crossed the finish line in 21:12.15, while Avery finished 5th in Class 3 with a time of 20:33.77. She also placed 24th overall out of 386 girls across Classes 1-5.

They had a great first race of the year! We are incredibly proud of these two and the hard work they put in each and every day.

As we close out the season we want to say ‘thank you’ to all of the support we’ve had this year.

AHS Track and Field had 5 athletes advance to State. Over the last 2 days they have worked hard and the dedication to their event shined through.
