Year 20 teaching is well underway! Team gifts, Back To School
Brew and birthday bubbles handed out/made. Two days with my new group of Kinders and I’m so glad to be back in the classroom, but still so grateful for my year break! I get to teach the sweetest group of five year olds this year and I’m ready for it!

I start back at work teaching Kindergarten on July 26th! I can’t wait to meet my new group of Kinders! Got my school badge! I’ll be back to work in a couple weeks! Feeling all the feels✨✨✨

Our words are magical✨✨I heard about this Apple Experiment from who did it at home with her son. The results are incredible! I did this at school with my class. We cut an apple and put a piece in two sealed jars. Every time we passed the “Positive” apple, we said kind, loving things to it. When we passed the “Negative” apple, we said mean things to it. After 25 days, these were the results! The jars were never opened and nothing was ever put in them. It was such a great demonstration to my kids (and me) about how powerful our words and thoughts are. I wish someone had shown me this when I was younger! If you do this experiment at home, please let me know!

More affirmations in writing! I love seeing their self-love grow with writing these self affirmations! The focus in Kindergarten is ALL on math and reading test scores but teaching these 5 and 6 year olds these SEL lessons is just as, if not more important! Oh how much I wish I had learned these things so much younger!

Happy Fall y’all! On the first day of Autumn we make applesauce! And this year did not disappoint! The Rock Stars cut up the apples into little pieces, get all the ingredients mixed together and we smell it cooking all day in the crockpot! This year my emersion blender broke and a parent showed up with a stand in blender within the hour. Don’t know what if do without the help of amazing parents to save the day! 🍎 🍁 pumpkin

5 Senses Taste Test! Salty pretzels, sweet grapes, sour lemon wedges and bitter chocolate! These kids will cautiously eat every piece of chocolate they get for a while😂🤣
