Our first PTSA meeting of the 2026/27 year will be tomorrow Wednesday, September 2 at 7pm in the LMC. PTSA members and non-members are welcome to attend this meeting.

At this meeting, we will:
• Vote on the 2026-2027 Budget
• Review this year's PTSA activities and upcoming volunteer opportunities: Homecoming Dance.
• Provide updates on IPPC upcoming initiatives: Reflections and Coat Drive.

🎨 Reflections 2026–2027 is now open!

This year’s theme is “What My Culture Means to Me,” and we can’t wait to see how our students bring it to life through dance, film, literature, music, photography, and visual arts!

Entries will be due to your school in early October, but summer is the perfect time to start brainstorming, planning, and creating a unique work of art. For more details and entry rules, visit: https://www.pta.org/home/programs/reflections/for-students-and-families

Congratulations to two recent Metea Valley High School graduates who were awarded 2026 National Merit Scholarships for leadership in their school and outstanding achievement on the ACT or SAT. To be considered, a student's test scores have to be in the top less than one percent nationwide. Finalists are then selected after a review of the student’s academic record and community contributions. Sreeya Ayyagari, who will attend Case Western Reserve University, and Claire Leung, who will attend Michigan State University, are now eligible for annual scholarships that provide between $500 and $2,000 annually for four years of undergraduate study.

Readiness Days – All students, including seniors, must attend:

Monday, Aug. 10th
• Merit House (A-Fe) 8-11am / Victory House (Ff-Lop) 12-3pm

Tuesday, Aug 11th
• Honor House (Loq-Rod) 8-11am / Spirit House (Roe-Z) 12-3pm

Why do you need to attend?
• ID photo and yearbook photo will be taken
• Turn in medical/physical documents
• Incoming 9th graders will receive a Chromebook
• Receive and sign for student handbook
• Parking tags available if paperwork is turned in ahead of time
• English novels will be available for purchase
• Activity passes will be available for purchase
