Summer may have just started, but we are already gearing up for our 11th annual PATCH Run with the Lion 5k and 1-mile Little Lions race on September 13th! Last week, PDC 30 Local Union 154 presented service plaques to two executive board members who recently retired. Please join us in recognizing Steve Muscat for seven years of service as President, and Arturo Martinez, Sr., for five years of service as Warden! Congratulations on your well-deserved retirement, and thank you for your service and dedication!

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: On Saturday, PDC 30 Local 97 member Arturo Ochoa won our 2026 STARs Grand Prize drawing - a vehicle from Gerald Ford in North Aurora! And yesterday, he and his wife stopped by to unveil their new ride. Congratulations, Arturo!

On June 1st, PDC 30 hosted another successful Building Union Member Power Training during Local Union 607's monthly meeting in Rockford. Thank you to everyone who participated!

On Saturday, June 6th, PDC 30 hosted their 18th Annual Member Appreciation Picnic & STARs Award Ceremony in Aurora, Illinois. The event included a BBQ lunch, carnival rides, face painting, PATCH prize raffles, a health fair, a blood drive, biometric screenings, a vendor fair, commemorative 100th anniversary shirts and giveaway items for members and children, and special drawings for STARs qualifying members. Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate our STARs qualifiers and PDC 30's 100-year anniversary - and congratulations to our big winners, Arturo Ochoa and Edgar Garcia!
