The Conservation Foundation does great work in the Chicago area. Happy to be at their annual benefit with the City of Aurora table. Also happy to receive a copy of the updated Sustainability Plan which now honors the contributors to the update including my oldest son. It was an honor to work on that plan. So happy to see the City of Aurora implementing that plan in many ways including their recent data center rules for Aurora developments.

Happy Earth Day! Spending time outside today with the first signs of Spring. Robins, lilacs and asparagus. So lucky to connect when the beauty of the earth!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! And happy voting day for the primaries. A rather brisk day to be outside. But happy to exercise my right to vote! If you haven’t already, remember to vote!

A few weeks ago, when it was warm and sunny, I wondered if I could start planting seeds. Glad I waited for more consistent warmer weather!

Our first dusting of snow may turn into a bigger snow event tomorrow. Too early to predict now.

A strange thing happened last year and this year. The leaves are all falling, but lilacs are blooming a second time. Usually they only bloom in May. The climate is changing. Not sure if this is harming the lilac trees in any way.
