There are A LOT of upcoming deadlines for scholarships and other financial aid applications so please take a moment to review the following information:

OSAC Application - Early Bird Deadline: February 15th @ 5PM | Final Deadline March 1st @ 5PM -->

One Easy Application for $10 Million in Scholarships for Oregon Students

Oregon Promise - Early Bird Deadline: February 15th @ 5PM | Final Deadline June 1st @ 5PM --> https://oregonstudentaid.gov/oregon-promise.aspx
Oregon Promise is a state grant that helps to cover tuition costs at any Oregon community college for recent high school graduates and GED® test graduates.

Ford Family Scholars Award - Deadline to Apply: March 1st @ 5 PM --> https://apply.mykaleidoscope.com/scholarships/fordscholarsapp2022 Award covers 90% of unmet college costs and is calculated on the college’s Cost of Attendance (tuition, fees, room and board, personal costs, etc.

Chemeketa Scholars Program --> The application is open from March 7th - March 11th but you need to complete the following steps by February 28th to ensure that you are eligible. Chemeketa Scholars covers up to two years of tuition in any field of study, including career technical programs.

Submit Chemeketa's admission application

Make sure you indicate enrollment for fall 2022. You will receive information about your Chemeketa student identification number (K number) via email after completing the admission application. Even if you have previously taken Chemeketa courses or you are enrolled in College Credit Now, you must complete the admission application. You cannot proceed with the next step until this is completed.

Complete Chemeketa's placement process
The Chemeketa placement assessment process begins with this form. Submit the placement form early to ensure you obtain the minimum levels required for eligibility. This form will determine your placement in reading, writing, and math. Allow 3-5 business days to receive a placement response. You may be required to take an additional assessment. We recommend you submit the placement form by February 28 to ensure you have your placement prior to the application deadline. You will need to download your placement scores from your My Chemeketa account and upload to the Scholars application.

Virtual Eighth-Grade Parent Night will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on February 16.

The event offers a time for North Marion High School counselors to share information about required courses, electives and clubs.

There will be a Q & A session at the end of the meeting.
