Hi all, GHHS is hosting our final advocacy rounds this Monday, February 23rd at 12 pm. Melissa B. Drennan, JD will be joining us to discuss how providers can take action when encountering immigration officials in healthcare settings. She is an associate attorney who specializes in Immigration law across various industries, including medicine and also offers pro bono immigration legal services. She is an adjunct professor for Charleston School of Law, where she teaches a class titled “Special Topics in Immigration Practice.” We hope you can join us for this timely discussion!

The 2026 Dr. Hope Babette Tang Humanism in Healthcare Essay Contest is now open! Using the quote, reflect on an experience in any healthcare setting where you or another healthcare team member worked to put the person at the center of care.
Winners receive a monetary award of up to $1,000 for first place, $500 for second place, and $250 for third place.
The nursing and medical student essays will be published both in Academic Medicine, and The Journal of Professional Nursing.
