Dr. Braun is a 2004 grad, and she's using her expertise in student success to expand opportunities for future physicians. MCG Dean David Hess said in a recent JagWire article, "She has often said that MCG has shaped every stage of her professional journey. Help us congratulate David Alalof and Meryl Hammer Alalof , Augusta University college sweethearts who celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this past December! For six decades, the Alalofs have remained devoted supporters of Augusta University. Their generosity has made a lasting impact on generations on students. They’ve supported research and education through philanthropy and created more opportunities for high schoolers in the CSRA through their work in education.

Good news: Dr. J. Larry Boss (MD '61) was recognized for his service to the Villa Rica community and his decades-long career delivering babies at Villa Rica Tanner Hospital with a renamed highway named in his honor.
