Congratulations to Communication majors Ana Winters and Madison Broadwater for winning a Telly Bronze Award for their PSA titled "Lungs of Rubber." Ana and Madison created their video in COMM 3030 under Adjunct Professor Arthur Takahashi. Kalpana Ramgopal served as the writer consultant for the PSA project and provided feedback on the script even after the first round of revisions. A big thank-you to Maryclaire Regan, who spearheads these 3030 PSA projects each semester for the Georgia Cancer Center. In recent years, the Department of Communication at Augusta University has done outreach to area schools. This includes the STEM program at Martinez Elementary School. Here, Lydia Williams, who served as photography editor of the Bell Ringer this past academic year, teaches MES students about the technology in play with a camera. Thanks to Valery Dinkins at MES for including us in this outstanding program.

A special thanks to our recently graduated COMM student, Brooke Phillips! Brooke was one of the students who put on Falling Down the Rabbit Hole to CommuniCon 2026. She had a table with baked good from her small business on Day 1, and generously donated the homemade cupcakes used for decorating on Day 2.

We are so proud of her accomplishments! If you are able, please feel free to support her small business!
