Open Door Preschool

Open Door Preschool Open Door Preschool is a non-profit, parent directed school who first opened their doors in 1964. History of Open Door Preschool.

In 1964, a group of parents opened the first integrated preschool in Augusta. No child was turned away due to their ethnicity or religion. It was the only preschool with an ‘open door’ policy and was entirely administered by the parents. Today, after 50+ years, Open Door Preschool provides a nurturing environment for children 14 months through five years old. It remains unique as the only parent-run, non-sectarian preschool in the area. True to its history, it continues to be a non-profit organization.

Our grill raffle is happening now! Tickets are just $10 each this year. Please help us spread the word to your family, friends, coworkers and groups. Anyone can win—the winner does not need to be connected to ODP. You can get tickets at https://go.rallyup.com/pelletgrill, by texting 'pelletgrill' to 33100, or by scanning the QR code. As a nonprofit, the money we raise from this, the art auction and other raffles goes right back into the school for fun events, curriculum, the playground, and teacher salaries.
