💙The Night Before School💛
The night before school at Garfield so bright,
the halls were all quiet, tucked in for the night.
Backpacks were packed and clothes laid out with care, as excitement and smiles filled Augusta’s warm air.
The classrooms stood ready with books on each shelf, waiting for students to come be themselves.
Teachers prepared with hearts full of cheer,
for a wonderful school year soon to be here.
Mr. Lockamy, our principal, kind and proud,
looks forward to greeting each child in the crowd.
With encouragement, laughter, and leadership too,
he helps Garfield grow strong in all that we do.
And the PTO, with their generous hands,
supports our school in so many plans.
From events and fun projects to helping each day,
they make Garfield special in their own caring way.
So sleep well tonight, little Grizzlies, and rest,
tomorrow begins another year of your best.
With friends, teachers, families, and community too,
Garfield Elementary is waiting for you!
