Wear your wackiest socks on Friday, July 17 as we remember our friend and dedicated YMCA team member, Donell Brown.

Donell faithfully served the community through the YMCA's food program, always bringing a smile wherever he went. He also loved a fun pair of socks—Cheese-Its, anime characters and the brightest patterns he could find. They were just one of the many ways he spread joy to everyone around him.

We're inviting our YMCA family and community to celebrate Donell the Friday before his birthday by wearing your favorite wacky socks and sharing a smile. Invite your friends, family and coworkers to join you, then snap a photo and share it with us. We'd love to fill our feeds with colorful socks and even brighter smiles in Donell's honor.

We are excited to announce we have a Little Free Library Box! This was made possible through a partnership with Girl Scouts, Rise Augusta and the CDA. We want to thank Abbie (shown below) for painting the box and for the volunteers who helped her build the box. 📚🎨🥰

It's home week for the Augusta GreenJackets, and the Azaleas take the field this weekend! These jerseys will be auctioned off after the games, with proceeds benefiting the YMCA’s A Place to Dream program. PLUS — two jerseys will be raffled during Friday and Saturday night games!
