🚨 READIFEST LOCATION CHANGE 🚨

Due to current and forecasted weather conditions, tonight’s AIS Readifest has been moved indoors to the Clooney Community Center.

🕔 Time remains the same: 5:00–7:00 PM

Everything will now take place inside the Clooney Community Center, including:

👟 Free shoes for elementary-age students
🥛 Free grocery items, including produce, shelf-stable & dairy products
🍕 Pizza & refreshments
🍎 AIS elementary teachers meeting and welcoming students & families

Please help us spread the word about the location change. We’re looking forward to seeing our AIS families tonight from 5–7 PM at the Clooney Community Center! 🐾

AIS families, there’s no need to shop for school supplies this year!

All school supplies needed for the 2026–2027 school year will be provided FREE to every Augusta Independent student, Preschool through 12th grade, and distributed on the first day of school! 🐾🧡

Just send your Panther ready to learn—we’ll take care of the pencils, paper, folders, crayons, and everything else they need to get the year started right!

One less thing on the back-to-school checklist. ✅

Get ready to kick off the school year with an evening full of fun, community, and everything you need to start the year strong!

📍 2nd Street side of the Augusta Independent Schools campus

✨ New this year! In addition to free footwear, free backpacks and back-to-school fun, families will be able to take home FREE fresh produce, dairy products, and shelf-stable groceries thanks to our partnership with the FreeStore Foodbank. It’s one more way we’re helping Augusta families head into the new school year with confidence.

You’ll also find:

IT'S BACK! FRYSC Swim Night is almost here! 🏖️🌊

Grab your swimsuits and join us for an evening of fun at the Augusta Pool on Wednesday, July 22nd from 6:00–9:00 p.m.!

This FREE event is for families with students enrolled in Bracken County Schools and Augusta Independent Schools. We'll have pizza, water, and a giveaway for every student attending! Students' enrollment will be verified at the gate.

Please note: We will NOT be showing a movie after Swim Night this year. If you're looking for another fun family event, be sure to check out Riverside Reels for an outdoor movie on the riverbank on July 31st! 🎬🌅
